Is this package right for you?
Development is under way and you want a second technical opinion before investing further. Interfaces may be unclear, you may be taking over an existing design, or you need a clearer view of the remaining risks.
We agree one review focus: a board design, selected firmware or how hardware, firmware and system requirements fit together. The proposal defines which material and questions are covered.
For a schematic and PCB layout review before manufacture, we examine one board revision. The focus can include power, connector assignments, interfaces, component selection, placement and routing relevant to your circuit.
What you receive
- A written review identifying the material considered and the relevant findings.
- For a board review, annotated schematic and layout excerpts or references that make each finding easy to locate.
- Prioritized recommendations: what to resolve or change first, and what can wait.
- A proposed next work package, including required information and checks.
- A handover discussion to explain the findings and answer your questions.
What I need from you
An overview of the device, its development stage and your main question. Relevant inputs may include schematics, interface descriptions, selected source files or existing logs. We define the amount of material to inspect in the proposal.
For a board review, include the schematic, PCB layout, bill of materials, key electrical and mechanical requirements, CAD tool and available export formats. Mention the planned manufacturing date and any relevant check results or manufacturer rules.
The agreed boundary
This package covers one existing project and one central technical question, with a board review limited to one defined revision. It includes review, written findings and one handover discussion. The proposal specifies the focus and depth; a review of the entire hardware, firmware and system is not automatically included. CAD changes, firmware implementation, physical measurements and further review rounds are agreed separately.
A design review does not replace measurements on the assembled device, EMC testing or production approval. The report distinguishes findings supported by the design files from checks needed on the prototype.
The report identifies questions that the available documents cannot resolve. You can use the findings internally or commission a separate follow-on engagement.
How to commission this package
Select this package and briefly describe your project. I reply personally within one business day. If the project fits my expertise, the scope and available capacity, I prepare a fixed-price proposal with defined deliverables and a schedule once the required inputs are clear. Accepting the proposal commissions the package.
The price depends on the agreed scope. The initial response does not confirm a completion date. Read more about handover, confidentiality and working together.
